Beautifully handcrafted hardwood flooring products (born out of 33 years experience in the UK flooring market) are all produced to order to the customer’s exacting requirements.  Innovative techniques, quality raw materials, a feeling for design and fashion and exceptional hand finishing all combine to provide a flooring product that stands head and shoulders above the rest.

At Rafe Olsen no flooring is made without the customers input. You tell us what it is you would like, we produce it for you. Whether using the tools on the website or discussing the options over the telephone, the customer has control over how the product looks. This process enables floors to be created in a truly bespoke fashion. Bespoke, really and truly means, one of a kind.

MISSION STATEMENT

At Rafe Olsen our intent is very simple. We aim to create beautifully handcrafted bespoke wood flooring that the customer is proud to call their own. In fact, proud and pleased enough with to tell all of their friends and family about the fabulous and unique experience they had from start to finish with Rafe Olsen!

To us, it’s equally as critical, that the experience you have with us impacts as little as humanly possible on the environment we live in. With this in mind we only use certified and ethically sourced timber, VOC free stains and oils and as a company we operate as close to Carbon neutral as we can.

We want buying a floor from Rafe Olsen to be a unique experience. A simple transaction of money changing hands for goods just won’t cut it. There are a few extra steps that make buying from us that little bit more personal.

This all starts with the sampling service; your hand finished bespoke flooring sample will arrive in a branded box containing useful information about the flooring, colours, finishing and hints/tips on ordering and fitting. All of this additional information is aimed at providing you with all you could wish to know about your floor. No surprises. No shocks. Just a floor that you love.

Once your order has been placed and paid for, we will begin the process of creating your bespoke wood flooring. In the meantime, you will receive your paperwork though in the post (and by email) to ensure everything is as you meant it to be. Details of who is creating your floor, the steps it is going through and the timescale involved will also be laid out for you to see.

As soon as your flooring order is complete, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date. In addition to the products ordered, you will receive a pack with care details, fitting instructions and a small gift from us to keep your flooring looking it’s best.

Social Media

It appears to us Social Media, particularly in the form of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter is here to stay. The unique way of providing real time updates to your customer base is not achievable via any other medium. Rafe Olsen has embraced the Social Media revolution and we intend to offer news and insight about what it is that we do and how we do it. There will also be details of special offers so please follow us to keep up to date of any developments!

As well as being active on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter; Rafe Olsen has accounts with Pinterest and Houzz. These slightly more specialised sites provide excellent visual references for people looking for inspiration in the home décor market.

Despite all of the advances in Social Media, print advertising still has an important part to play in our brand awareness. Look out for the Rafe Olsen name in the glossy home interior magazines!

Overseas Customers

Rafe Olsen are pleased and willing to provide export assistance for customers outside of the UK. Due to the degree of variance in the weight and dimension of the product, as well as the destination, carriage for all export orders has to be calculated individually. Either telephone or email your order requirements and we’ll be happy to provide a quote.

Commercial customers

Despite being designed to serve the end user; Rafe Olsen are also experts in Business to Business (B2B) sales. A comprehensive service, suitable product, VAT breakdown invoicing and BACS or faster pay facilities mean that our B2B experience is every inch the one you’d expect from Rafe Olsen. Custom specifications for board sizes or finishes can be catered for where something out of the ordinary is required.
