Rubio Oil Plus 2C is a unique system for colouring and protecting your floor in one coat. This oil is designed for use on raw or unfinished hardwoods. The way the oil bonds with the surface of the timber means that it is incredibly easy to apply and maintain. Because all excess material is wiped off, there are no starting marks or overlaps. Once cured, the oil provides excellent water and heat resistance meaning it can be used for bathroom or kitchen floors. After a short ‘dry period’ of around 7 days, the oiled surface can be cleaned with water and a mild soap. Coverage is excellent too; 30-50m2/ltr.  The oil can be applied by hand or machine.

Lead times for Rafe Olsen products can vary depending on the items that have been ordered. Generally, the less complicated, the quicker the delivery.

Oils & Cleaners – Delivery within 3 Days

The quickest and most economical method of delivery will be selected by Rafe Olsen when the order is complete. Small items will be delivered by a parcel courier service and larger flooring orders will be dispatched via the pallet network. Orders delivered on a pallet will not necessarily require a forklift to remove them. Most lorries are equipped with tail lifts and means of manoeuvring pallets to where they need to be left.

On all occasions, consignments will require a signature on delivery. Delivery to a neighbour (or a work address) is perfectly acceptable if they are willing to take responsibly for the goods.

Rubio Oil 2C Plus can be applied by hand or by machine. Prepare the floor to an acceptable standard to receive the stain. The floor should be sanded to a level you’re happy to live with. Apply the oil using your chosen method, ensuring all edges and visible surfaces are covered. Leave for approximately 5-10 mins before buffing off any excess oil using a clean cloth. The floor will then need to be left for a minimum of 48 hours. If mixed with the accelerator the surface will be cured within 7 days. Until this point do not get the floor wet or marked.
